Walmart is Becoming Increasingly Unpopular
among the American Public
Walmart Watch’s 2007 survey on public perceptions of Walmart concluded that the company’s business and labor practices have negatively impacted its image among existing shoppers and those who do not regularly shop at Walmart. The survey found that Walmart’s favorability ratings dropped by 5 percent between 2005 and 2007, with survey respondents citing the company’s ‘bad’ treatment of its employee as the primary reason for their negative perception of Walmart.
