It is important that Local 881 is involved in the legislative and political process to make certain that your rights on the job are protected. We lobby for and against laws in the state capitol and in Washington DC to ensure that progress made at the bargaining table on your behalf is not taken away by the legislature. We also are active in helping to elect worker-friendly candidates to office who will put the needs and interests of workers and their families first.
All Local 881 members are encouraged to register to vote and make your voice heard by voting each Election Day.
