Local 881 relies on its network of Union Stewards. They are the on-site contact at your workplace. Stewards help keep members informed of the latest Local 881 news, while keeping your Union Representative apprised of what's going on within the work location.
Stewards are either elected by their fellow members or are appointed by the Union Representative. They guide members (especially new members) on matters dealing with contracts and much more.
