Join the Active Ballot Club—It’s as easy as ABC!
The Active Ballot Club (ABC) is the political arm of the UFCW. Created as a voluntary, non-partisan legislative organization, ABC participants have joined together to exercise their full political rights and responsibilities as Union members. Through the ABC, your contribution helps elect and retain officials who will stand up for the rights and issues of working families.
Your small contribution of up to $12.00 per year (only $1.00 per month) when combined with your fellow UFCW members will make a big difference. Contributions to ABC are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
ABC for Dues Check-Off Members: You have the unique opportunity to help support the Active Ballot Club by signing up for the ABC through payroll deductions. Contact your Union Representative today to find out more about becoming a member of ABC.
ABC for Direct Pay Dues Members: Each month when you receive your bill for Union dues, you will notice that we have also billed you $1.00 for the Active Ballot Club. The $1.00 per month is cumulative, which means if you don’t pay it the first month, the next month it will be for $2.00, then $3.00, $4.00, etc… In December of each year, prior to billing January dues, the ABC balance will be set back to zero and the process will start over again.
