ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, is
the nation's largest community organization of low and moderate-income
families, with over 150,000 member families organized into 750
neighborhood chapters in about 60 cities across the country.
ALIANZA LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE: www.alianza.ws
MISSION: The mission of Alianza is to build the capacity of Latino leaders, organizers, and associations to foment community and social change.

VISION: Alianza envisions powerful, self-determined Latino communities developing human capital to create a better society.
CENTRO COMUNITARIO JUAN DIEGO: www.ccjuandiego.org
Founded by eight Latina women who had the courage to start an
organization to help their community despite their own hardships.Centro
Comunitario Juan Diego has been making a difference in South Chicago for
over 10 years. As a grassroots community-based organization we provide
programs focused on healthcare issues, community organizing, social
services and education. Through our efforts we hope to foster confident
leaders for today and tomorrow.

The Chicago Federation of Labor (CFL) is the central labor body for over
300 Chicago area unions affiliated with the AFL-CIO. The membership of
these unions exceeds 500,000.

The Illinois AFL-CIO represents one million union members and is the voice of
all working families in the state. Our power lies with the many and diverse
people we represent in a multitude of workplaces and in our ability to affect
change.

The State Federation helps improve the lives of working men and women by
promoting the rights of workers to join a union and by making sure their voices
are heard at the state capitol. In addition to a full-time presence in Springfield
fighting for strong labor laws, the Illinois AFL-CIO also helps shape political
dialog around issues that affect workers.

ICIRR is dedicated to promote the rights of immigrants and refugees to full and
equal participation in the civic, cultural, social, and political life of our diverse
society. In partnership with our member organizations, the Coalition educates
and organizes immigrant and refugee communities to assert their rights;
promotes citizenship and civic participation; monitors, analyzes, and advocates
on immigrant-related issues; and, informs the general public about the
contributions of immigrants and refugees.

Who is the ILCA? The ILCA is a professional support organization for labor communicators. We work to strengthen and expand labor print publications, websites, and radio, television, and film productions by providing resources, expertise, and networking opportunities for labor communicators. The ILCA works to encourage democratic labor media that engages workers in an ongoing conversation.

JwJ's mission is to improve working people's standard of living, fight for job
security, and protect workers' right to organize. JwJ's core belief is that in order to
be successful, workers' rights struggles have to be part of a larger campaign for
economic and social justice. To that end, JwJ has created a network of local
coalitions that connect labor, faith-based, community, and student organizations
to work together on workplace and community social justice campaigns.

The UFCW is about workers helping workers achieve better wages, better benefits,
